Rustic Mornings by Isabelo | Marikina City

Rustic Mornings by Isabelo is one of the most loved secrets here in Marikina City and I, being a proud Marikeño who is a fearless foodie myself, will share to you a special place and restaurant that is close to my heart. I go here mostly during my birthday because there is no other place I’d like to have breakfast in on my special day. It is the secret garden in Marikina and every time I step into this beautiful restaurant, its as if I’m in a whole other world.

Here’s their indoor and air conditioned area. I love the interior designs, washed out white and the rustic, antique feel. However, on days with nice weather, I’d recommend you dine in their open area.

Their open area is amazing, and there is a lot to see. There are numerous recycled random items used as decoration.

Here’s my grandparents enjoying the morning with tall glasses of mango shakes and the morning paper.

Waffles, Buffalo Chicken Strips & Salad, served w/ marinara chipotle sauce and maple syrup (PHP 290)

This is my usual order, my birthday breakfast. Two pieces of waffles (though it isn’t visible) with a scoop of butter on top. The waffles are pretty good, crisp but soft inside. Salad is always fresh. The chicken strips were small, though they were good, like the waffles crispy on the outside but juicy in the inside.

Beef Ribs (PHP 380)

Loved the beef ribs! They’re so full of flavor and the sauce is superb! The herbs and spices mixed well. The meat was soft and juicy.

Parmigiano Carbonara (PHP 350)

The Parmigiano Carbonara was really good as well, hefty serving too. The sauce is creamy but a bit too salty for my taste.

Sausage Pizza (PHP 400)

The pizza is square cut, homemade and served with butter as well. Nothing special, just how a homemade pizza would taste like.

Meat Lovers Cheese Omelet (PHP 240)

These have got to be my favorite omelet ever, and I don’t like eggs that much. This is perfectly cooked and the meet on top are crispy and delicious. It is served with herbed butter, two slices of pan bread and jam.

I love the plates they used, very rustic and artistic. However, they were quite large and heavy.

Definitely a beautiful and lovely place to eat breakfast in if you want a change of scenery and a breath of fresh air.

The food here are really good but hella pricey. You pay for the ambiance as well, I guess. This is the kinda place I love coming back to on special occasions, especially my birthdays.

I give Rustic Mornings by Isabelo a ★★★★☆
