I spent a week in Negombo, Sri Lanka for visa purposes. Traveling alone to a foreign country gave me so much anxiety to the point that I couldn’t sleep days before the trip. I tried my best to embrace it though, as it was a chance to travel and discover a new culture and country.

Drive-In Doha | Aspire Park

One of the newest entertainment spots around Doha is the Drive-In Cinema located at Aspire Park, behind Villagio Mall. It offers a unique experience of watching old movies right at the comfort of your car. They had a soft opening last Thursday, October 19, and offered free entrance for the weekend. My friends and I visited Friday night to try it out! Tickets will be required for purchase starting Sunday, October 22, at 50% off, 75QR per car while original prices are at 150QR per car.

Vietnam | Oct 2016

Me, my cousin Minh and my grandmother in front of the Notre Dame*.

*Vietnam was colonized by France for many years. The Notre Dame was built during their time. Vietnam is therefore heavily influenced by the European colony.

Fun fact: I’m a quarter Vietnamese. Yes. My grandmother is Vietnamese. My grandfather met her while he was working there and took her back to the Philippines to marry her. I’ve been to Vietnam once before, many years ago that I can’t remember much of my time there. I’m happy to have visited again and documented it!

Brewfest | July 15, 2016

I went to Brewfest the year before and I loved it so when our office offered free tickets again, I took them in a heartbeat. Good food, drinks, and now with good music and friends too! Β This year it was held at Century City Mall, which is just walking distance from my office. How could I possibly pass up the chance?
